A safe home. An education. A future.
Hold My Hand supports vulnerable children and young people in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a safe home, education, and care. Since we began, we have reached more than 200 children, reunited 100 with their families, and supported 40 young people into independent living. Today, 54 children are in our care across three homes. Our soccer project reaches 180 boys and girls, building confidence, teamwork, and opportunity.

Tigist Tsegaye
We are thrilled to share the incredible success story of Tigist, who joined Hold My Hand in 2021 after facing the challenges of life on the streets. Her transformation from street child to published author is nothing short of remarkable! Through unwavering dedication and hard work, Tigist has achieved her dream of writing her very own book. Her commitment to this goal has been truly inspiring, as she tirelessly devoted herself to making it a reality.
Yosef Andarege
Yosef joined Hold My Hand Charity 12 years ago as a young boy with a bright smile, but little stability or support. He came from a background of poverty and limited opportunity, where his future was uncertain and his dreams far from reach.
Daniel
Daniel was living on the streets as a young boy, vulnerable, alone, and without direction. Life was a constant struggle for food, safety, and hope. He had no access to education or structured care, and his talent for football had no chance to grow.
Addis Birhanu
For over 10 years, Addis Birhanu was more than just a cook at Hold My Hand—she was the second mother to hundreds of children. With every meal she served, she poured out love, dignity, and hope to those who had known only struggle.
