Yosef's Journey of Hope: From Street to Hope
Yosef joined Hold My Hand Charity 12 years ago as a young boy with a bright smile, but little stability or support. He came from a background of poverty and limited opportunity, where his future was uncertain and his dreams far from reach.
His Journey Before Hope
Yosef's journey with Hold My Hand began in 2013. As a young boy, he faced the harsh realities of poverty—lacking access to proper shelter, food, and education. Despite the challenges, his warm smile carried the hope of a better future.
At HMH, Yosef found the stability and support he desperately needed. With food, safe housing, and education, he was given the tools to grow emotionally and academically. His determination and natural brightness became evident at every step.
When HMH Reached Out
Today, Yosef is a university student at Dire Dawa University, over 500 km away from Addis Ababa. His confidence and focus reflect how far he’s come. He’s determined to build a successful future and is well on his way to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Yosef hopes to use his education to give back to the community that believed in him. He continues to inspire others with his kindness, resilience, and the same bright smile he carried when he first arrived at Hold My Hand.
