I'm Yabets Areda

Dream
To become an electrical engineer

If they have a family, they should try their best to be with them. If not, they should look for someone to take them in and depend solely on God.

ABOUT
My Story
Yabets Areda was born in Adamitulu, near Ziway, to hardworking parents—a carpenter father and a mother who sold goods on the street. Despite their efforts, hardship and absence from home left him vulnerable. As a teen, Yabets fell into substance abuse and lost direction. Alone and struggling, he journeyed to Addis Ababa, where he lived on the streets until being rescued by Hold My Hand Charity in 2013. With love, care, and guidance, he began to heal. Now in Grade 11 at Safari Academy, he is determined to become an electrical engineer.
