I'm Lucy Wondemagegn

Dream
To become a professional soccer player

Street life is a triple life. I'll tell them to get out of it by finding charities.

ABOUT
My Story
Lucy Wondemagegn Etela, the youngest of four, was born in Jimma, Ethiopia. His early years were spent with both parents, but after a divorce, Lucy was sent to live with his grandmother in a remote village where he couldn't attend school. After her passing, he moved in with an abusive uncle and ultimately fled to Addis Ababa. Life on the streets was tough, but in 2017, Hold My Hand Charity found and welcomed him. Since then, Lucy has received shelter, care, and support—beginning his journey to healing and growth.
